| Q. |
Is there
a fee to become a NEDRIX member? |
| A. |
No. Membership is free and available
to anyone with an interest in this field. For purposes
of discounts/certifications, members must reside in
or work for companies in the Six New England States
and have participated in a NEDRIX event or joined
during the last two years.
|
| Q. |
If I join
NEDRIX, will I receive vendor solicitations as a result?
Do you give my information to other groups or companies? |
| A. |
The only time NEDRIX shares member
information is via a list of seminar/conference
attendees included in participant and exhibitor
materials. We only share information with vendors and
exhibitors that are part of the NEDRIX family that we
believe add value to our membership.

| Q. |
Why should
I consider NEDRIX in addition to the larger, national
organizations? |
| A. |
While NEDRIX meetings and conferences
offer topics and issues that have industry-wide and
national impact, we make sure to focus the presentations
on concerns and scenarios specific to New England.
As noted above, being a regional organization results
in smaller groups offering a more relaxed environment
for networking.
|
| Q. |
There are
so many Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning
conferences available, why should I attend one by NEDRIX?
|
| A. |
- NEDRIX is one of the lowest cost conferences in
the industry, offering a wide range of regional
and national topics. Our one-day conferences are
only $125 (including lunch) and our 2005 annual
conference is only $550 (including breakfast, lunches
and dinners).
- These prices are much less than half what other
conference and seminars are charging. Also, because
we are local to New England, travel expenses are
much less than those incurred to reach destinations
elsewhere in the country.
- In addition to the presentations, the annual
NEDRIX conference includes a multi-media simulation
exercise. Other conferences have recently added
simulation exercises to their agendas, while NEDRIX
has been creating and running simulation exercises
since its inception in 1991.
- Members who hold professional certifications can
also receive Educational Activity Points (EAPs)
for each meeting they attend.
