BPD in the Community: On Thursday, March 5, 2020, BPD Community Service Officers assigned to District A-7 (East Boston) including Gary Marino, Ivan Bermejo and Sgt. Joey Cintolo hosted another super fun learn-to-skate program at the Porazzo Ice Rink in East Boston. The five-week program meets every Thursday and kids as young as three and a half years old are encouraged to join in the fun in an effort to learn how to skate while finding their way around the Porazzo Rink. Sponsored by PAL (Police Athletics League) and FMC Ice Sports, the program allows participants to engage in a variety of practice drills including navigating through cones and trying to maintain their balance while picking up stuffed animals off of the ice as our officers provide helpful tips and supportive feedback and advice at every turn.

For more information on how to register for the learn-to-skate program, please contact the District A-7 (East Boston) Community Service Office at (617) 343-4752.
